Why we built it
Running a small service business means doing the work and keeping the business going. You might finish a client project and still have an evening of timesheets, receipts, and invoices ahead of you.
We built PayPolka to keep those details together. Record the hours and expenses on the project, turn the work into an invoice, and see what's paid or still outstanding. When you quote a fixed fee, the project reports help you look back at what it took to deliver.
The product is built for US service businesses of about five people. It includes time tracking, expenses, projects, estimates, invoices, and reports at $9 per person per month. Nothing is metered: add clients and projects without a usage charge, and your accountant's read-only access is free.
Built by Struxrdev
PayPolka is built and maintained by Struxrdev, a web development company in Salt Lake City, Utah. Struxrdev has been shipping production software for clients for years, on the same stack PayPolka runs on.
That matters because billing software is plumbing. It needs to work on the first of the month at 11pm when you're sending out twelve invoices and one of them is to your biggest client. We treat it that way.

Salt Lake City, Utah. PayPolka is operated by Struxrdev, a limited liability company incorporated in Utah. Payments are processed by Stripe; your clients' bank details and card data never touch our servers.
