Dashboard
Start on the dashboard to see what needs attention: hours to log, invoices to finish, or overdue balances to follow up. The page shows the information your role can access.
Owners, admins, and accountants see invoice and payment summaries. Members and managers see their week and projects without financial figures.
This week
Everyone gets one line about their own week: hours logged so far, an Open my time link, and Log expense (accountants don’t get that one). Two things can appear after it.
If you review other people’s time and approvals are on, an orange link says “3 weeks waiting for your approval” and opens the Team page’s review queue.
If one of your own weeks was sent back or is waiting, a link names it: “Week of Sep 1: Sent back” in red, or “Submitted, waiting for approval” in orange. See Time tracking.
For members and managers this line is a card at the top. For everyone else it sits under the greeting.
The five tiles
Outstanding is the balance on every sent, unpaid invoice. It’s orange when above zero and links to View invoices.
Overdue is the part of that balance on invoices past their due date, in red, with a count of invoices underneath.
Open estimates is the dollar value of quotes still in play, with a count. It adds sent estimates that haven’t been answered and accepted estimates that still have money left to invoice. Drafts don’t count. Neither do archived estimates.
Collected (30 days) is what your clients paid in the last 30 days, net of refunds, in green.
Invoiced MTD is the total of invoices issued since the first of this month, sent or paid.
The three lists
Each list shows up to five items. The count in the header is the real total.
Draft invoices, newest edit first. Each row has the number, client, and total. Open a draft when you are ready to review and send it.
Overdue, soonest due date first. Each row has the number, client, how many days late, and the balance in orange. When it’s empty it says “Nothing overdue.”
Open estimates, largest first. A sent estimate shows “Waiting for response” and its total. An accepted estimate with money left shows “Ready to invoice” and the amount remaining. Click through and the estimate page has the Amount to invoice box. See Estimate to invoice.
Recent activity
The last 20 things that happened to money: invoice events, estimate events, and payments. Each row has a date, time, a title that links to the document, a detail line, and a kind label (invoice, estimate, payment). Members and managers don’t see this feed.
My projects
Members and managers get this card instead of the money tiles. It lists every active project with its client, alphabetically, and each row opens the project page. From there they log time and expenses. See Projects.
The two-factor notice
Until you turn on two-factor authentication, an amber notice sits above everything: “Recommended: turn on two-factor authentication”, with Set up and Remind me in 30 days. Turning it on takes a minute; see Account settings.
A daily routine
Overdue first. If it’s above zero, open the list and follow up.
Then drafts. Send them or delete them. A draft that’s been sitting for a week is usually one of the two.
Then open estimates. “Ready to invoice” rows are accepted estimates with an amount left to bill. Check the agreed billing schedule before creating an invoice.
For the bigger picture behind these numbers, the Accounting page has the year’s invoiced, collected, and outstanding figures. See Accounting and statements.
